NEVER Underestimate Young Adults.. Here’s Why:
It’s easy to overlook young adults. They’re often told to “wait their turn” or “grow up first.” But history—and the Bible—remind us that young people are far from powerless. In fact, some of the most world-changing movements started with young adults.
NEVER Underestimate Young Adults.. Here’s Why:
Jesus could have chosen anyone to be His disciples. Yet He chose 12 young adults.
Consider Jesus. He could have chosen anyone to be His disciples—respected elders, scholars, or leaders of influence. Instead, He chose 12 young adults. Not because of their experience, but because of their energy, passion, and potential to disrupt the status quo. These were the movers and shakers of their culture, and they went on to change the world.
Twenty-somethings are the movers and shakers of culture. They are natural disrupters, innovators, futurists, and collaborators.
Young adults today carry the same potential. They are natural disrupters, innovators, futurists, and collaborators. They’re not just the leaders of tomorrow—they’re shaping culture today. From the tech startups redefining entire industries to grassroots movements demanding justice and change, young adults leave a mark that’s disproportionate and unique.
The amount of influence that young people have is massive. It’s disproportionate and unique.
Think about something as simple as a wave at a sporting event. It always starts in the student section. That’s young adults leading the charge—bringing energy, passion, and momentum. It’s contagious. Their influence spreads faster and farther than anyone else in the crowd.
“The Wave” always starts in the student section!
Churches, workplaces, and communities often underestimate this influence. But failing to invest in young adults is like ignoring the engine of a car—you might still move, but not at full speed. When we empower them, mentor them, and give them responsibility, they can change the trajectory of everything around them.
So, never underestimate young adults. Their ideas, energy, and vision are powerful. They can challenge norms, inspire others, and bring the future into the present. And just like Jesus saw in His disciples, so should we: the next generation isn’t just coming—they’re already here, and they’re unstoppable.
